Three random news articles, each of which kinda creeped me out.

Kelly Clarkson Concert

Posted on: Wednesday, November 21st, 2007 in: Adventures in La La Land

I went to see Kelly Clarkson this past sunday at the Gibson Amphitheatre in LA. According to my dad, it’s the second largest theater in the state of California. My seats where in the 5th row back of section 13.

It wasn’t my favorite concert of the summer (Vanessa Carlton two weeks ago was amazing) but I had a lot of fun. Here’s a few photos from my cell phone’s camera:

I saw Vanessa Carlton again!

Vanessa Carlton is my absolute favorite female vocalist.

And on Tuesday (11/06/07) I got to see her for the second time at the Ivar Theatre in LA, which is literally about 1,000 feet from the famous corner of Hollywood and vine. I actually made a right turn there and nearly ran people over trying to find parking. LOL

The first time I saw Vanessa was at the nearby Roxy Theatere in LA on 07/24/07. She was promoting her new album, Heroes and Thieves and from what I heard then I knew it would be great. But now that the CDs been released, I really wanted to see her again so I could sing along. :)

I wish I had some photos from the show to share, but I didn’t want to try and smuggle it in. I was a shame, because I’d have love to have get a vid of Vanessa singing my favorite song of hers “Half a Week before the Winter.” She hadn’t preformed that song the first time I saw her, so finally getting to see her preform it was amazing. It was also a thrill to hear her her preform “C’est la vie.” And she explained that she translated it a little differently than the classic translation “Such is life.” Instead, she says it’s better expressed as “Fuck it” – which admitingly is pretty much the same.

This was the third concert I went to by myself. It was a little awkward finding seating, but as luck would have it I ended up sitting with a girl that had also come by herself. It was a tad awkward at first, but we where like old friends by the end of the evening. I gave her my email, but I doubt I’ll ever see her again.

I got home really late, and still had to get to class on Wednesday morning (which was not fun) but I made it. but it was totally worth it. :)
