I hate April Fools day. I mean, seriously, I wish it would just, like, go away. At MKP and later SDS, we’ve had quite a few serious prank gone wrong events. The first was many years ago and involved Mike, Adam, Tuc and the management of RS.net and MKP. It was quite a mess and eventually wound up getting Mike tossed out of the movement. It was that day that I first saw Tuc actually mad at someone, and I decided to make sure I never got him mad at me. And of course, I broke that rule too.
While that was probably the worst prank gone wrong, we’ve gotten the usual “OMG ___ show has been renewed! Here’s a link on wikipedia” messages every single time. Usually for more than one show. And these rumors take WEEKS to stamp out. Even win the original author admits it’s a prank.
There was even one year when we where gonna make zei Admin for a day on SDS, but Phil promoted her for real like a week beforehand. Talk about killing my moment!
Anyway, just remember to not trust anything that anyone says today. All ” important forum announcements” are probably gags. And if you fall for anything, well, you’re just not thinking straight.
Oh, and the SDS Forum is a Hannah Forum now. Click the banner

I’m proud to announce the formation and soft-launch of two new celeb websites. EmilyOsment.ws and TiffanyThornton.us.
Emily Osment, of course, plays Lilly Truscott on Hannah Montana. But the timing for this addition has a lot more to do with the upcoming premiere of her DCOM Dadnapped.

Tiffany Thornton, a less familiar name to most, plays Tawni Hart on the new DC series Sonny With a Chance along with Demi Lovato.

Everyone always asks me if Kim Possible is my favorite TV show ever. And it’s close, second place in fact, but my favorite show for as long as I can remember has been Fox’s 24. I even used to go so far as trying to arrange my college classes so that I’d be free to watch it live. And I remember how I used to be so annoyed when my required Bio 5 discussion made me miss the first half of the show for one quarter.
Unfortunately, despite the fact that I also specially aranged my classes my senior year of college, the show was held up due to the writer’s strike. This newest season has been a long time coming, and I’m quite impressed so far. It definitely has a different feel than the last season, but that’s a good thing.
I’m glad to see that the Jack Bauer Torture Report is back up. Whoever you are that writes this thing, I just love your analysis.
And this new FBI chick Agent Walker is simply too cute and too interesting of a character to die.

At least, to cute and interesting to die this early in the season. Besides, someone has to be left to say “Jack’s telling the truth. He risked his own skin not to kill me” later.
Plus, it’s great to have Tony back. Besides Jack, he has always been my favorite chracter.

So I was poking around on OceanUp a couple days ago and Chelsea Staub caught my eye. I’ve never seen Minutemen, but she looked pretty cute in the pics I saw. And according to IMDb, she’s legal so that’s a plus.
She’s apparently gonna be in the much discussed but never confirmed J.O.N.A.S. series, so I figured I better grab a domain wile I still can.
And to my surprise, a whole ton of domains where already taken! So with a .net or even a .us out of the question, I decided to take the .ws while I still could!
With that said, I am proud to announce that I am the proud new owner of ChelseaStaub.ws. There isn’t anything there yet, but there will be eventually!

I got a couple new domains, but before I get into that, a little background.
I’ve been working the past week or so on trying to pull a little more money out of my websites. I hate how many sites plaster ads and trigger half a dozen popus. And I think that’s cheap, anyoing, and I won’t have it on my sites. But the question then, is how can I promote more ads without going that route?

My previous attempt was the Fix Disney Banner Exchange project. And despite rather heavy promotion across all my sites, I didn’t really get anywhere. And the kicker, The old Disney Banner Exchange site is still down, leaving the market wide open!
So for now, my focus is to build upon the sucess of Disney Channel Fans and to convert the existing and future trafic into increased ad revenue. And what I’ve got so far is a good start, but I’m going to need more.
With that in mind, I had several domain names up for renewal this weekend. And as much as it pained me to do so, I had to drop (delete, not renew) several of them. The others, like DisneyCaps.com I renewed.
In addition to the renewals, I decided to get two new domains: BrendaSong.ws and OlesyaRulin.org. Why these two you ask? Well, I already have quite a bit of news for both of them on DC Fans, so it’s a logical expansion. And because these are sites that I have content ready for, I should be able to get them up and going rather quickly and easily – which means they should have decent turn around times before they start pushing trafic back to DC Fans. and by that, start making money.
At least, that’s the theory.

I am proud to announce the creation of the very first Sonny With A Chance fansite, Sonny With A Chance Fans!
If you recall, I’ve been discussing the creation of this website for quite a while. Starting when it was called Welcome to Mollywood, and three months ago when the spelling of the new title was in question. So I’m quite relieved to finally have the site up!
And although the show won’t actually premiere for at least a couple months, we already have a few screencaps from the first three Disney promos.

It’s hard to judge just from the promos, but it looks like they did a decent job on this show. Disney has not done show-within-a-show before, and it looks to me like they’re gonna do it right. But we’ll have to wait and see.

If you recall, my 100th domain was based on the idea that if I was very specific on a single search that was getting a lot of queries, I could build a high traffic small site to funnel people to my other websites. the first time I did it, it was Selena Gomez Bikini.
After I saw this picture:

I realized that it was time to try one other domain, AlyAndAjBikini.com. So we’ll see what kind of traffic it gets.

Remember Welcome to Mollywood?
Well, I just learned that Mollywood is now called Sunny With A Chance. Damn. Well, I guess I just won’t renew welcome-to-mollywood.com
But I’m not done with idea. Especially because I really do like Demi now.

So I did a quick check on sunnywithachance.com and found it’s been registered to Disney. So they’re serious about this new name. And sunnywithachance.net was also taken.
So I grabbed sunnywithachance.org for as a possible SDS afiliated site (should it ever be needed) and sunny-with-a-chance.com as a future fansite.
Hopefully they won’t change the name again.
EDIT:
So according to Zei and JustJared, it’s Sonny with a Chance. I checked and Disney registered sonnywithachance.com as well. So I decided to register sonnywithachance.org and sonny-with-a-chance.com. I swear, I better like this show after all of this!

I haven’t had any serious problems for a while, but today DC Fans was down more or less all day – and it took half my other websites (including this one) with it.
It’s going to a pain – a major pain -but I’ve purchased a new separate hosting account just for DC Fans and have begun transferring the site to the new host.
Also, here’s an article about how taller people are happier.
